COVID-19, inflation, and recession are three unsettling words no one wants to hear. Uncertainty can be disquieting, especially when it comes to the aesthetics field. No matter where a skin care professional is in their career, each one of these scenarios has or most likely will have an impact on them personally and professionally. Whether they are a solo practitioner, a spa owner, a skin care retailer, or a manufacturer, the repercussions affect the bottom line. A question worth pondering is whether or not they are ready for what is to come. 

The future cannot be predicted but the present can be evaluated. Professionals can equip themselves with a clear understanding of where the economy seems to be going in order to be prepared for any repercussions. That is why personal and professional goals, business plans, and a plan B are crucial components to success. The best way to feel more in control of the unknown is to understand exactly what these three outside factors are and how they impact the industry. Knowledge is key and allow for better decisions based on facts, not fear.
