The Shift: The Peel Treatment & COVID-19

Chemical peel: these two little words have the power to strike fear into our clients’ hearts. Automatically, they think red, swollen, irritated skin peeling in sheets. They think they must hibernate for days to get through it. As skin care professionals, we know different. We know chemical peels have come a long way in the past 20 years. We know that there are varying levels of chemical peels: superficial, moderate, and deep. We know that a chemical peel does not have to cause peeling in order to be effective. Therefore, it is our job to educate our clients on how chemical peels truly work and what they can expect during the process.
