2Skaná (skah-nah) is the Oneida word for peace that names the 33,000 square foot resort spa owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation at Turning Stone Resort Casino. Located in scenic Upstate New York, and known for its American Indian design influences, the treatments and services at Skaná reflect the Oneida Nation’s belief in the balance of good health, harmony with nature, and tranquility within. Since opening in 2006, it has been rated among the best spas in the world by Spa Magazine and among the Best Casino Hotel Spas in SpaFinder’s 2012 Wellness Readers’ Choice Awards. This fall, Skaná revamped its skin care menu. Rather than choosing among standard offerings, guests decide whether they will spend 50 minutes or 80 minutes receiving a customized facial. This allows the highly-trained and experienced aestheticians at Skaná to create an individual experience, based on an assessment of the guest’s needs and taking full advantage of the tools and skin care lines at their disposal.
