Beauty Cocktails

A glass or two of something delicious and a little naughty can help create a more delightful ambiance for a spa’s party! With a little extra care and creativity, you can go beyond bubbly and wine and wow your guests.

Good quality, white tequila is one of the healthiest choices as far as alcohol is concerned and has even been shown to be a mild blood purifier and digestion enhancer. The key is to look for 100 percent agave white tequila. Anything else is either a mix of up to 49 percent plain sugar alcohol and/or caramel coloring. The other option for boozy deliciousness with a hint of healthy is sake. Fermented from rice with a lower alcohol content than most distilled alcohols, it imparts a subtle, lovely flavor which also lends an air of class to cocktails.

The recipes below have been used over and over for different spa events. There is usually very little actual measuring and, like most parties, you are throwing it together at the last minute, while taking care of a thousand other things. The recipes are purposely light on the alcohol. You can adjust to suit your needs. They are also intended for making and serving out of large pitchers.
