Good quality, white tequila is one of the healthiest choices as far as alcohol is concerned and has even been shown to be a mild blood purifier and digestion enhancer. The key is to look for 100 percent agave white tequila. Anything else is either a mix of up to 49 percent plain sugar alcohol and/or caramel coloring. The other option for boozy deliciousness with a hint of healthy is sake. Fermented from rice with a lower alcohol content than most distilled alcohols, it imparts a subtle, lovely flavor which also lends an air of class to cocktails.

There is usually very little actual measuring and, like most parties, you are throwing it together at the last minute, while taking care of a thousand other things.
