Written by   Raison d'Etre

Raison d’Etre, the Global Leaders in Spa & Wellness design, has announced a new sustainability initiative to integrate an all-encompassing ‘green strategy’ into its design projects starting in 2020. This step will further cement The Spa Consultancy and Think Tank’s position in the international Hotel & Wellness Industry as an instigator of eco-friendly practices.

The new ecological guidelines will ensure that every wellness design project by Raison d’Etre supports sustainability - in every dimension of how it is designed and run in it’s social, cultural, and economic environment. Having already worked with over 160 spas in more than 70 countries, the company is sure to make a significant impact on a large scale with this approach and set an example of how spas around the world can overcome their respective regional challenges and conduct themselves using responsible and ethical business practices, policies and initiatives.

Raison d’Etre Spas has been at the forefront of developing and managing internationally renowned spas and spa brands since its founding in 1998. Having monitored scientific breakthroughs and regulatory changes across the globe, the world-leading spa consultancy has designed their new green strategy to focus on four key areas:

  1. The environmental impact of materials and fabrics used in construction and interior design
  2. The quality of air in the region
  3. The quality of water in the region
  4. The quality of light in the region

The global spa consultancy will apply their green consulting services to projects involving recreational, educational and professional buildings, as well as hotels & resorts, residential buildings, spas, clinics, and medical facilities.

On announcing the Green Strategy, Anna-Cari Gund, Managing Director at Raison d’Etre says, “Our team is spread across the globe, so we have a finger on the pulse of the international challenges that come with adopting sustainable practices – which we share in our Think Tank Sessions. This knowledge has helped us create considered, ecological standards that will allow us to support developers, contractors, and owners in incorporating stainable practices into their businesses.”
