What is Microneedling with PRP?

Microneedling with PRP is one of the most popular cosmetic treatments of the moment due to the fact that it stimulates collagen production and cell growth by rolling tiny and fine needles over the skin while applying platelets, the main components of blood.

The addition of Platelet-rich plasma makes this treatment more effective as the liquid of the blood itsel is plasma while the platelets applied to the skin are solid.

The way this works is that the applied platelets help blood clots heal wounds and injuries, but thanks to the PRP, the concentration of these platelets is way higher than those of other components of the blood. So, for this to work, the specialist has to take a blood sample and then, with the help of a tool called a "centrifuge" that spins around in order to separate the PRP from the rest of the blood. This would become the same PRP used in your microneedling treatment.

After having separated the PRP from your blood, the specialist will then use a microneedling tool to prick the skin, creating tiny holes in the skin's surface, then apply the extracted PRP to these tiny holes to help the body increase its collagen and cell production.

Benefits of getting Microneedling with PRP.

Microneedling is a procedure with many benefits to your skin:

- It helps eliminate Acne Scars
- It helps reduce and eliminate surgical scars
- It helps reduce hyperpigmentation
- Reduces sun damage
- Helps reduce uneven skin texture.

Among other things, microneedling with PRP also helps boost the healing process while stimulating skin renewal which makes PRP microneedling way better than microneedling alone.

Nepenthe Wellness Center's microneedling with PRP provides a perfect way to apply the treatment without pain and with visible results soon after your first appointment and a marked improvement in skin quality after 30 days.
