During the makeup artist design show Düsseldorf 2013, KRYOLAN presented the Golden Mask prize for makeup design. With this award, the company honors makeup artists who have become renowned for their extraordinary artistic stage, film or television makeup creations. One of this year’s recipients was Michael Westmore from the United States. Westmore is considered one of the most famous stage makeup artists for science fiction movies and fantasy television series. He has been in charge of makeup artistry for the “Rocky” and various “Star Trek” movies, and the “The Next Generation” television series. He has received an Oscar and nine Emmy Awards.
