Ready, Set, Grow!

June marks the halfway point of the year. Sort of like calling Wednesday hump day, I liken the month of June to hump month.

We have eased passed the chaos of a pandemic with vaccines, boosters, reduced quarantine and isolation, and all of the unknown. We have shaken hands, given hugs, seen long lost friends and family, and maybe even met amazing new assets to our lives. We have come a long way, and it feels pretty great.

In the first half of 2022, our profession has flourished. Tradeshows have seen record attendance, educational classes are booming, professionals are adding new products, services, and treatments, and clients are seeking out our services from places we never imagined. It is a great time to be an aesthetician and an even greater time to flourish.

To encourage readers to celebrate the first six months of this year, I challenge you to some tasks for the second part of the year. I will offer you the challenge of exceeding your expectations, of achieving even higher goals, and of climbing even higher mountains.

I challenge readers to take this hump month and make it an upward climb without a downward fall. You have it in you; I know you do.

Each month, I challenge you to the following tasks.

  1. Learn something new.
  2. Gain one new client.
  3. Increase your revenue by 5%.
  4. Say a daily affirmation. For example, I believe in myself, I am strong, or I am confident.
  5. Try something new, like yoga, meditation, journaling, or even getting eight hours of sleep!
  6. Wake up in the morning and smile.
  7. Hold yourself accountable.
  8. Hold others accountable.
  9. Be honest.
  10. Be fair.

Are you ready? I am! There is no point in waiting until December 31st to set new goals and make changes. Start now and end this year not only on a high note but also the best note ever.
