Sanctuary Spa is a world unto itself with interior and exterior treatment spaces that keep one view constant: a rock sculpture of a praying monk shaped by Mother Nature on Camelback Mountain. With 12 treatment rooms, a Watsu immersion pool for hydrotherapy treatments, an indoor couples suite, a movement studio, a fitness center, five championship tennis courts, a 25-yard outdoor lap pool, and a spa boutique, the spa cossets guests from the outside world. Asian-inspired treatments, including an exotic collection of facials and massages, are designed to both pamper and empower guests with physical and spiritual knowledge.
Highly specialized services are reserved for Sensei therapists, who take a multidimensional approach to bodywork and must pass rigorous certifications, including oncology massage and restorative consultations.
Sanctuary Spa’s Watsu Massage is an aquatic experience that takes place in Sanctuary’s private, heated Watsu pool. This deeply relaxing and nurturing experience is a passive form of aquatic therapy that supports and gently cradles, rocks, and stretches the body through warm water in graceful, fluid movements. The support of the water provides relief from compression forces on the joints and enables the spine and extremities to be moved through all possible ranges of motion. The treatment is offered as a 60- or 90-minute service ranging from $185 to $265.
