Reflexology is an excellent gateway treatment, as people often find they enjoy it so much that they wonder what else the spa offers.

It is easy to learn, but training by someone qualified and competent is essential. Also, before offering it, professionals should experience it.

It is advisable to do reflexology before other treatments, whether it is a facial or full body massage.

Generally, it is contraindicated for women who are pregnant. This is important. Do not take this caveat lightly.

Prepare hands by having short nails, as the reflex points can be extremely sensitive.

Because people do not always clean their feet well or may have foot fungus problems, it is recommended to treat fingernail beds with tea tree oil before doing a treatment.

Always start with the right foot.

Loosen the ankles and, then, do points that relate to the brain. This prepares the entire body to receive the information and changes that reflexology can initiate.

For all back and neck problems, work on the reflexology spinal and hip points. For all digestive complaints, work all of the abdominal organ reflex points.

Always complete a treatment with the large intestine, then bladder, then kidney reflex points.

For treating acute conditions, consider two treatments per week for a minimum of three sessions. For chronic conditions, consider two treatments per week for three weeks.
