While the pandemic saw a massive increase in mask sales, it was at the expense of one cosmetic staple – lipstick. The result was a drop in lip product sales by 40%, according to market researcher, NPD. 

As society makes its way out of the pandemic, lipstick sales are back, hitting $34.2 million in the four weeks ending April 18, 2022 and up more than 80% from the previous year. But as everyone prepares to head out into the world again, it is important to remember to look at the labels on lip products and make informed, healthy decisions.
