To meet growing demands, the Goldust Spa team sought a location that matched their vision for high-end luxury – and found it in the owner’s family home, built in 1989. Once surrounded by rice fields, the space now represents the seamless fusion of past and present. Goldust is a sanctuary of world-class beauty rituals, with lush styling and gold accents throughout, offering the perfect atmosphere for indulgence. As a pioneer in the industry, Goldust Spa offers signature treatments that all include meditative rituals designed for ultimate relaxation, incorporating rose quartz stones, singing bowls, and calming techniques. Goldust Spa’s mantra is to “work from the heart,” creating an experience where care, attention, and connection exceed expectations. They want all guests to leave feeling like gold.
Can you share the vision behind Goldust and what to the inspiration to open your own spa?
Our vision at Goldust was to create a space where people can reconnect with themselves and experience true relaxation. The inspiration to open the spa came from the realization that there were no other spas in the area. We wanted to create a place where guests felt truly special and valued. For us, it is not just about the treatments, but the entire experience – one that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit.
What was the transition from beachside boutique to high-class spa mainstay like, and what changes were made to embody this transition?
The transition was an exciting journey. Moving from a beachside boutique to a high-class spa mainstay meant reimagining the space, treatments, and overall experience we offer. We focused on elevating every aspect of the spa, particularly by introducing our famous 24K Gold Facial, while also incorporating a minimalist chic interior with touches of antiques from the original family home. It was about blending the charm of Bali’s natural beauty and the history of the house with a sophisticated level of service and attention to detail.
Your third location is the family home, built in 1989. What significance does this space hold for you personally, and how does it reflect the values of Goldust Bali?
This space holds immense personal significance as it is where many of my fondest memories were created growing up in Bali. Transforming it into Goldust’s third location was a natural step in honoring both my family’s legacy and the values we hold at Goldust. The space reflects our deep connection to family, tradition, and authenticity – elements that are central to Goldust’s spirit.
How do the golden ideals of Goldust – being heart-driven, community-spirited, and inspired by excellence – manifest in daily operations and the guest experience?
Every day, we live by our golden ideals. Being heart-driven means that every decision we make is with the guest’s experience and well-being in mind. We ensure that our team operates as a close-knit, supportive community, with each member truly caring for one another and for our guests. Excellence is in the details, whether it is the quality of the treatments, the ambiance, or the customer service. We strive to make every visit exceptional, leaving each guest feeling cherished and rejuvenated.
What are some of your favorite key features and signature treatments that the spa offers?
Our signature treatment is the 24K Gold Facial, and we have recently introduced the 24K Silver Facial as well. Another favorite is our Stressbuster Massage, which takes place in our poolside lounge. Guests relax on plush chaise lounges, with ambient onyx stone side tables, all while overlooking the rippling turquoise pool, creating a truly tranquil experience

They are designed to feel like a personal celebration with tailored treatments, customized ambiance, and special touches that make each event unforgettable. Whether it is for a birthday, a bridal shower, or simply a day of indulgence, our spa parties offer an escape where guests feel pampered and cared for in a way that is both intimate and luxurious.
In four years, Goldust will celebrate 20 years in business. In what ways do you see the spa growing in that time, and are there any plans to celebrate this anniversary?
I see Goldust continuing to grow as a haven for relaxation, with potential expansion into more wellness offerings. We are always exploring new ways to innovate and enhance our services. As we approach our 20th anniversary, we are planning a special celebration to reflect our journey, honoring our guests, our team, and the incredible community we have built over the years.
With over half a million guests served thus far, what do you think has been the ultimate key to your success?
The key to our success has always been staying true to our values: providing exceptional, heart-centered service. Our ability to connect with people on a personal level and offer a memorable experience has allowed us to build lasting relationships and trust. Ultimately, it is the care we put into every detail that has truly set us apart.
