Clients with acneic skin may often be frustrated by a lack of results.

Despite their best efforts, some of them do not see a change in their skin. If clients are consistently following a skin care regimen for their acne and are not seeing any positive effects, there are other changes that can be made to supplement their routine. These four changes may help reduce their acne and pave the way for flawless skin.
Staying away from long-term antibiotics. While skin-focused antibiotics target acne and create great short-term results, long-term use can do more harm than good. Antibiotics kill helpful bacteria in the gut and damage the microbiome. Furthermore, overuse of antibiotics can lead to resistant bacteria.
Resisting the urge to squeeze a pimple. Popping a pimple may be hard to resist, but it can leave clients riddled with scarring. It may also worsen acne as it can spread bacteria and leave the skin susceptible to infection.
Avoiding stress. Increased stress can throw off hormone balances and wreak havoc on the skin.
Steering clear of heavy moisturizers. Acneic clients with dry skin should avoid heavy moisturizers and stick to products that are water-based or noncomedogenic.
