Skin care providers are in constant pursuit of result-based treatments for clients, wanting the best results as immediately as possible. This passion is in the professional’s nature and the dream is often to find a treatment that does it all.

Treatment stacking involves receiving several different types of treatments back-to-back in the same treatment session for a combined service. It can help treat multiple skin concerns at once and provide improved results. The benefits of treatment stacking may include deeper exfoliation, deeper product penetration, less in-spa treatment time, targeting numerous skin concerns, optimal results, and a synergistic effect.

BENEFIT BREAKDOWN

Deeper Exfoliation & Deeper Product Penetration

Utilizing two, three, or even four modalities in a single service can deepen exfoliation. Using a mechanical exfoliation method first that is followed with a chemical exfoliation allows the exfoliant to penetrate deeper into skin. Once dead skin cells have been exfoliated, the peel will have a reduced barrier of desmosomes to penetrate and can enter the deeper layers. The same goes for using an enzymatic exfoliation prior to a chemical exfoliant during a treatment. Layering any serums, peptides, or hydrators will result in a deeper product penetration as well.
