The Benefits of Brands: Specific Training for Skin Care Professionals

The need for ongoing education is constant. Facing the COVID-19 crisis has temporarily closed businesses with no indication of when they will fully reopen. Spas are all doing their part to ensure skin care professionals are still taking care of themselves, their families, and their clients by respecting social distancing and self-isolation. Professionals need to remain as positive as possible and try to learn something from this time, as challenging as that may be. All experiences (good or bad) educate in some way, however, it is not always immediately apparent.

Karen Asquith is recognized as an honored member of the Stanford International “Who’s Who” of business executive professionals. Currently, she is the national director of education for G.M. Collin Skin Care, based in Montreal, Canada, and in Plattsburgh, New York, where she provides skin care training programs and guidance for international staff of 140. For the past decade, Asquith has consistently been featured as a guest lecturer at skin care industry forums and presenting cutting-edge skin care protocols and topics throughout North America. She has been the lead aesthetician every year since 2005 at the pre-Oscar suite, performing selected G.M. Collin skin care treatments on the celebrities. In addition, Asquith is the former director of education of a private, prestige skin care academy in Canada and presently holds a position on the advisory board of Niagara College. She is frequently featured in professional skin care publications and consumer magazines, as well as making guest appearances on Web M.D. and the Life and Leisure Network.
