Meet the Presenter - Karen Torres!

Karen Torres is an underwriter for Professional Program Insurance Brokerage. She has been in the insurance industry for about 13 years. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from San Diego State University in psychology. After she graduated, Torres started working for her family’s insurance agency. Her grandfather started International Beauty Brokerage, which specialized in insurance coverage for the beauty industry. It was there Torres learned about the insurance needs of the beauty world. She began working with Professional Program Insurance Brokerage in 2017. Underwriting for medical spas, she has learned what type of claims can arise and the best ways to avoid these claims.
