Plasma Fibroblast

Written by   Lauren Farmer

Plasma fibroblast is becoming one of the fastest growing treatments for skin tightening. Fibroblast is a revolutionary, non-surgical lifting treatment designed to tighten and lift the skin, also evaporating excess skin on areas where surgery used to be the only option.Plasma fibroblast works by usingmild, superficial controlled burn created by an electric arc (heat), which induces a skin tightening effect to restore the skin’s natural elasticity. This occurs because a localized burn stimulates the skin’s regeneration response, resulting in firmer, tighter skin between the wrinkles and reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

AREA SPECIFIC

The use of a plasma arc is more selective than some of the other treatments available because it can be applied exactly where the client needs it, even on areas such as the upper eyes and neck where certain lasers cannot treat. To achieve the optimum results, the “dots” are placed in a pattern to pull the skin together or stretch the wrinkle depending on the clients needs. These patterns include a five-point method, dot by dot, and spray technique. The skin care professional must determine which of these will give clients the best and longest lasting results.

DOWNTIME & RESULTS

The best part about fibroblast treatments is there is zero downtime. Unlike other major surgeries for skin tightening, swelling only occurs for one to two days (normally only in the eye area), and the “dots” or carbon crust only last around five to seven days. Consider requesting clients partake in a dry healing for the first five days. This includes makeup in the treated area followed by aftercare cream, colloidal silver, or stem cells for healing. Use products that help regenerate collagen production and also promote skin healing. Once the dots fall off, the skin will be pink for a few days. This pink area on the skin will already have a more youthful appearance. Since heat is used to create the evaporation of the skin, clients will notice immediate results, but the end result will come six to eight weeks after. This occurs because the heat from the plasma arc travels down into the dermis layer of the skin, triggering fibroblast cells to produce more collagen. A touchup can be done around the six-week mark if needed but results can last up to two years.

TREATMENT ROOM USE

Fibroblast is a unique treatment that, up until recently, was niche to most skin care professionals and spas.It is the future of skin tightening.Clients who want a more natural approach to Botox and fillers or for those who have hooded eyes or the dreaded “turkey neck” that lasers cannot fix without going under the knife have found value in fibroblast treatmentsLearning the art of fibroblast does not come easy as extensive training is needed, and practice is of the utmost importance. Once it is mastered, it will be a game changer for clients to boost their antiaging treatments, wrinkles, scar and stretch mark revision, and loose skin for the face and body. In all, skin care professionals can utilize this revolutionary treatment to help clients get the look they want without the use of Botox or surgical procedures. Skin care professionals should never be afraid to add a new service and better their skills. It will benefit the spa and their clients in the end.
