Blurred Lines

Twenty years ago, Dr. Khalil, the founder of VI Peel, used to say that the most powerful thing an aesthetician can do is to pop a pimple. It was, at the time, an oversimplification of an extraction, which can sometimes feel like life or death because of the emotional struggles that come with breakouts. Still, that statement held a kernel of truth – aestheticians used to have very limited options to treat skin.  

Today, skin care professionals have an extraordinary number of tools, products, and treatments in their arsenal. The number of modalities, and features of these modalities, is just unbelievable, not only for the practitioner but for all the clients chasing the idea of feeling beautiful.
