Victoria Tabak licensed aesthetician and president of Nature Pure Labs

Written by

Victoria Tabak began her involvement in the beauty industry early in life. With over 19 years in the industry, she has spent 10 of those years as an educator and speaker, inspiring skin care professionals to be knowledgeable and empowered in their own businesses. She is very proud that she became a two-state licensed aesthetician and earned a master's degree in business by the time she was 21 years old, while also studying chemistry as a minor. For many years, Tabak has promoted age prevention and wellness.

pic--1How did you decide that skin care was the right industry for you?
Originally, I aspired to become a scientist that specialized in cosmetic chemistry, like my father. I realized, however, that I preferred being up close and personal with people rather than beakers and raw ingredients, as much as formulating did intrigue me. I was passionate about helping and making a difference for others.

What characteristics or skills distinguish you from your peers and enabled you to be successful so quickly?
I take great pride in the remarkable relationships that I have developed over the years with other professionals. Much of those relationships rooted from my dedication to sharing my expertise and education. Our clients know that they can always personally reach me if they have questions or need guidance in something that is even as basic as treatment protocol customization based on client concerns.

What has been the biggest change in the skin care industry?
I would say the biggest change in the skin care industry is the availability of information for our clients, requiring a much higher standard of knowledge and education for professionals. It has also become customary that skin care is another vehicle to support health and wellness, but from the outside in.

Is there a particular ingredient that you feel is a "super" ingredient?
The one ingredient that I would truly consider "super" is soy, specifically genistein, which is the hydrolyzed form of soy isoflavones, which can easily penetrate to the dermis. It is a phyto-hormone, meaning it is a plant-derived extract that has hormone-balancing characteristics, but is entirely natural without the concerns of side-effects that real hormones may have. It is an ingredient that works to reverse signs of aging by triggering the memory that exists in every cell and causing it to behave as it did at a more youthful state. I say it is the real deal fountain of youth ingredient.
