Rhonda Allison founded Rhonda Allison Cosmeceuticals more than 25 years ago. Today, the company is a leader in the professional skin care industry and a globally recognized name. Allison is respected worldwide for her innovative work with acids and chemical peels, and is a highly regarded speaker, author and educator. Through her experience as an aesthetician, she observed the importance of utilizing active ingredients and treatments to produce real results for clients. This set her on a mission to develop products that would forever change the landscape of skin care for countless aesthetic professionals and discerning consumers. I have been in the aesthetics industry for more than 30 years.

raHowever, my interest in skin care developed at a very early age. I can remember as a teenager whipping up home-care concoctions like avocado and egg white masks and applying cucumber slices to my eyes. I discovered early on that I have an entrepreneurial spirit, and my career has reflected that. In my early 20s, I worked for Mary Kay® Cosmetics, which was my first teaching of a skin care regimen. From there, I sought training in aesthetics and began consuming as much knowledge about skin and the spa business as possible, eventually opening my own day spa. I have always been motivated by deeply understanding skin and being able to remedy specific skin issues. That drive led me to cosmeceuticals and developing science-based formulas. I believe that great clinics and spas are built on passion and love of the industry rather than a quest to make money. Those who are committed to client service, delivering value and education, and producing real results set themselves apart from the rest. They have a true commitment to quality and compassion, taking the time to truly understand each. I attribute success in this business to my love for the work. I am extremely passionate about skin and changing it. I have always been more motivated by effecting change in clients’ skin than by money. Clients visit skin care facilities because they have a desire for something more. They keep coming back because of the service and results. Ultimately, clients know genuine passion and it is a key component to developing life-long relationships. These days, I work to teach this philosophy to students entering the industry and even veteran aesthetic professionals. Each step that I have encountered has brought me to the place I am today. For that reason, I have no regrets – only gratitude for every opportunity and experience to evolve and grow not only as a businesswoman, but as a human being as well. My secret to maintaining balance and enjoying the journey is to practice presence and stillness. I have discovered that it is not about doing more but about being in each moment. Freedom from yesterday and tomorrow has given me more clarity for today and that brings balance. Whatever I am doing in the present moment is my greatest treasure.
