What beauty or aesthetic trends are unique to your section’s country? How do these trends differ from the traditional style in the industry?

China has entered the era of national fitness, health preservation, and beauty. The characteristics of Chinese spa is derived from the peoples demand for physical health. Combined with the characteristics of Western spa culture, the Chinese spa has integrated with its own culture andtraditional Chinese medicine, such asthe traditional Chinese medicine bath and the science of channels and collaterals. Under the guidance of the traditional Chinese medicine theory and the Chinese traditional aesthetics, people can achieve better treatment by means of scraping, cupping, acupunctureand moxibustionChinese beauty requires physical beautybut also pays attention to inner health. In the future, blending with modern beauty skillscould provide clients and advanced services of healthy, natural, harmonious, and overall beauty.

Are there any current events or news in your country that are impacting the industry?

“In China, May 20th is a special festival – Beauticians’Day. On this day, tens of thousands of beauty elites hold a grand activity together and more and more beauticians take part in it now. ProfessorCheng Ming Mingwill also be there to share this pageant with everyone.Chinas beauty economy has become the fifth national consumption field, coming in after real estate, automobile industry, tourism, andelectronic communication. The beauty industry is a sunrise industry. It not only provides more job opportunitiesbut also drives the development and growth of other related industries. The future of the beauty industry is unlimited.

Are there any recent accomplishments and/or recent celebrations or anniversaries your section would like to highlight?

We are making preparations for the CIDESCO Congress in 2022. We hope thatit can be held in Beijing, China as scheduledWe welcome all the families and friends of CIDESCOto take part in it.

What would you say your general statement of purpose for the industry is?

The beauty industry is in dire need of innovation and development. The prospect of Chinas beauty regimen is great. However, the market needs to be supervised much more than before. Beauty companies and institutions should find their own positioning, standardize their management, andemployees should improve their personal comprehensive quality and ability.

What are your section’s plans to continue its position and/or aspirations for the future?

This section will carry out the extensive technical exchange of skills with Western countries, carry forward the theory oftraditional Chinese medicinepromote the cooperation between beauty education institutions and some enterprises, publicize the influence of CIDESCO diploma in China's beauty industry, and accelerate the cultivation and improvement of the employees in the aspects of skill level and comprehensive quality.

What distinctions of the section as a whole are contributing to the betterment of the beauty industry?

The branch schools of CIDESCO in China have been recognized by the Chinese authorities and have been approved as a professional training base for beauty skills. The professional technology, training sites, and teaching quality of this CIDESCO branch are all superior to the overall level of China's beauty industry, which also makes a certain contribution to the future development of CIDESCO in China. In additionwe have a large number of training staff all over Chinacovering23 provinces, five autonomous regions, four municipalities, and two special administrative regions. This not only solves the problem on the technical level for employeesbut also expands the promotion of the CIDESCO diploma in China and drives the development of the entire Chinese beauty industry as well.
