SkinBetter Science Institute Publishes Guidance Focused on State of Aesthetic Industry Post COVID-19

Written by

As parts of the country begin to modify stay-at-home orders, allowing certain businesses to resume operations, aesthetic medical practices are gradually starting a phased reopening process to meet their patients demands. As this occurs, both patients and physicians alike of course want to make sure that safety of all involved is and remains the highest priority.

To this end, the Project AesCert Guidance was developed by a multi-disciplinary panel of nationally recognized, board-certified physician and doctoral experts in the fields of Infectious Disease, Immunology, Public Health Policy, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery, in order to provide aesthetic physicians with practical strategies to help safeguard the health and welfare of patients, providers and the community at large. The Institute’s esteemed Medical and Scientific Staff includes Jonah Shacknai, Dr. Jeffrey Dover, Dr. Heather Furnas, and Dr. Mary Lynn Moran, to name a few.

The Project AesCert Guidance represents a consensus of studied principles that combines learnings from major hospital systems on the frontlines of treating COVID-19 patients, prestigious academic research institutions studying the underlying SARS-CoV-2 virus on a global basis, and leadership of the dermatology, plastic surgery and facial plastic surgery specialties who understand what it means to implement elevated safety measures within the reality of a busy aesthetic office. The Institute's Medical and Scientific staff conducted in-depth research and expert interviews to develop the Guidance, paving the way for the aesthetic industries return in the wake of the pandemic.
The Skinbetter Science Institute is a non-promotional, educational organization dedicated to providing relevant, actionable data and other information to healthcare providers and their patients.
