Christine Heathman started her journey in becoming the foremost skin care expert as a single mother struggling to make ends meet in the suburbs of San Francisco, CA. As a new esthetician her passion for skin care - and treating skin ailments - was evident. She set out to learn every facet of treating skin while instilling lifelong confidence into her clients. Through her journey Christine used creative and cutting-edge techniques to achieve amazing results in her client’s skin. By showing amazing results in her client’s skin, she become the foremost expert in aesthetics. In 1991, Christine created GlyMed Plus Professional Skin Care. over the next 30 years she would be recognized as a “Legend in Aesthetics” and recipient of the prestigious “Crystal Award” for lifetime contributions to the skin care industry. Christine initiated the first Master Esthetic License in Utah, now adopted by many other states, to raise the standards of practicing estheticians. She currently serves on the Utah State Board of Professional Licensing and is the CEO & master formulator of her award-winning professional skin care line. A “legend” in professional aesthetics, Christine Heathman is the foremost expert on skin care. With 40 plus years of in-depth scientific study and hands-on practical experience working alongside physicians and biochemists, Christine is the preeminent skin care consultant. She is recognized as a trailblazer in treating cross cultural skin types and conditions including mature, acneic, pigmentation, oncology, trauma patients as well as the first esthetician dedicated to the specialization of treating skin to create unconventional treatments specifically for traumatized skin. Christine pursued solutions to challenges spurred by dermatological, accidental, pre/post-surgical and genetic conditions. For over 40 years Christine has authored hundreds published skin care industry articles seen in many professional journals including, Plastic Surgery News, while also being a contributing author of aesthetic manual surgical text. Christine has been instrumental in shaping professional skin care thought & practice both medically and aesthetically on all stages including international. She has pioneered treatments for all ethnicities and wrote & published the first skin of color treatment manual within the aesthetics industry. Christine has paved the way for skin care to be recognized as an important healthy lifestyle choice.
Christine has worked as the foremost medical esthetician in hospitals from San Francisco to Salt Lake City. Pioneering treatments for patients with skin conditions that doctors themselves struggled to remedy. She broke barriers to healthy skin as an option for those who thought otherwise. On a mission to alleviate and minimize the suffering of those who persevere through their traumatized skin, she made it her goal to bring confidence back to people who have had to endure lifelong skin specific health issues. Christine is the brainchild and founder of GlyMed Plus Professional Skin Care and leads other aesthetic innovators in the research and development of the most effective, yet often unconventional and progressive skincare protocols. Her skincare products and treatment protocols are used in skincare and medical clinics all over the world. Christine is a dedicated professional who practices what she preaches. As a licensed Master Esthetician in Utah and Washington, a licensed Esthetician in California and in Europe, and a Licensed Massage and Certified Lymphatic Therapist, Christine has served on the distinguished Esthetician’s Act task force to establish safety guidelines for Utah’s Master License and currently serves on the Utah State Licensing Board representing Master Aesthetics licensure standards. Appointed to this post by the governor of Utah, Christine has been a leading member on the board while instilling healthy methods of treating skin.

LNE Magazine bestowed the esteemed Crystal Award to Christine in 2014 in recognition of Christine’s lifetime of contributions to the skin care industry. Christine is the premier professional who has worked tirelessly and selflessly to improve the standards of the aesthetics industry. For Christine, as a trailblazer, this recognition was both well-earned and emotional – since she works nobly to improve the next generation of skin care professionals and their clients. As the first Medical Master Esthetician, Christine has also been named an “Aesthetic Legend” by Dermascope magazine. Christine has often appeared as a guest expert on popular national TV programs such as The Doctors, The Balancing Act on the Lifetime TV Channel, and many other local and national TV shows under their ’healthy skin’ segments.
Christine’s mission to better the world doesn’t stop at just skin care and aesthetics. Christine serves the aesthetics community as a representative of The Utah Department of Professional Licensure. Where she administers better ways to adhere to and achieve elevated standards of treating skin conditions. Christine also donates her time and endowments to animal rescue charities, The Elton John AIDS Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnel for Towers Foundation, Sub for Santa, Fisher House Foundation, Breast Cancer Research Foundation and GlyMed’s Marie’s Gift for oncology patients in honor of her courageous and loving aunt who died as a result of breast cancer. She also supports the Alzheimer’s Association. Christine’s father suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. She helplessly watched as he deteriorated and ultimately succumbed to the illness. Christine has a great love for animals. She is committed to a cruelty-free skin care industry and has set the example to follow for all other beauty industry companies. She has personally rescued countless animals and currently has a wide variety of “rescues” on her acreage.
