THE ANGEL IN CHARGE

Becky Kuehn, the leading educator for oncology training in the United States had cancer when she was 18-years-old. It shaped the course of her life and defined her life’s mission. She realized, then, (and even now) there was a huge gap in aesthetic care for those going through cancer. Oncology-trained spa professionals can profoundly improve the quality of life for someone going through cancer treatments. Her goal, passion, and dream is to have an oncology-trained spa professional in every cancer center in the United States. She and her team of 12 Aesthetic-Angel trainers travel several times every month to train and add more helping hands somewhere in the United States. Together, they facilitate about 40 to 60 trainings a year.

 "I get asked often what it is that I teach. The answer? I share with aestheticians how to connect and see their clients on a human level, helping them to succeed with a renewed love for what they do."

WHO I AM

I love our industry. It is a group of beautiful souls whose goal in life is to help others. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?

5. MOST TRANSFORMATIVE CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASS
I have studied and taken several courses in mindfulness this year in preparation for the new Mindfulness-Based Aesthetics (MBA) course that I am rolling out in 2019 – it rocked my world and refocused my life! Breathe baby, breathe!

6. THE LEGACY I HOPE TO LEAVE BEHIND
I want many healing hands in my wake that will see the need in others and give with open hearts.

 

ABOUT ME
These days, most of my time is spent on the road, researching, learning new ways to help, and encouraging my group of amazing Aesthetic-Angel trainers. But, when I’m home, I love spending time with my husband of 40 years, my two grown kids, my dog, and the lovely patients I get to meet and work with at the cancer center.

TO THE FUTURE
You can imagine at my age – 58 – I get asked a lot, “when are you going to retire?” My answer? “Not even on my radar! I need to train as many helping hands as I can to meet my goal of having an oncology-trained spa professional in every cancer center in the United States! Will you join me?”

Oncology Spa Solutions works with several lines that are safe for oncology clients. Suntegrity is one of the lines used during training. It is a mineral based sun care line that uses non-nano zinc oxide and antioxidants that provide broad-spectrum protection.
