After 25 years in the anti-aging, skin care and beauty industries interviewing doctors and scientists about new innovative products, I truly believed I had seen it all! As I got older and became a wife and mother, my interest in anti-aging products grew more personal. I looked for products that would restore or slow down my own aging process. In 2009, I discovered the secret to naturally beautiful eyelashes, an eyelash-enhancing conditioner I called GrandeLASH-MD. I finally found a powerful product that offered me such outstanding results it inspired me to create Grande Cosmetics, my own results-driven line of innovative cosmetics, serums, and conditioners. Armed with the secret to restoring and maintaining my natural eyelashes, hair, lips, and eyebrows, I wanted to share it with as many women as possible!

How did you decide that skin care was the right industry for you?

I was selling cosmetics at flea markets. Talking about beauty products comes natural to me!

TradeshowWhat characteristics or skills distinguish you from your peers and enabled you to be successful so quickly?
I’d have to say I’m a go-getter. Instead of waiting for new beauty trends to arise, I start my own.

What adaptations have you made over the years to stay relevant in the industry?
I have stayed relevant in the industry over the years by keeping up with all the hot trends, while still staying true to the products that got me where I am today. Our cult-following of women that already use our products are excited to try what we come out with next because they know they’ll get the results they want.

What has been the biggest change in the skin care industry?
The biggest change in the industry I’ve noticed is that more women have been searching for cosmetics with benefits. They still want great, beautiful products, but now they want them doing double the work. Smart!

What do you see as an upcoming trend in the industry?
An upcoming trend in the industry is longer, thicker-looking eyelashes that women can achieve naturally. Women are becoming more aware of eyelash (and eyebrow) enhancing serums and they can’t get enough of them!

What is your biggest hope for the industry going forward?
Going forward, my biggest hope is for women to continue to take interest in cosmetic products that have clinically beneficial formulas.

Is there a particular moment or procedure where most skin care professionals go wrong? What could they alter for a better result?
Skin care professionals tend to overlook the benefits of eyelash and eyebrow serums when recommending skin care regimens to their clients. The benefits of these products improve anti-aging efforts and create loyal customers.

Why do you think people are loyal to certain brands?
People remain loyal and true to certain brands because they believe in what those brands represent, if those products deliver results. There are numerous brands currently on the market, but when consumers find the brands who put time and effort into their products, they take notice and will keep coming back for more.

Is there a particular ingredient that you feel is a “super” ingredient? If so, why?
Of course! The key ingredient in our revolutionary products is hyaluronic, which is a water-binding ingredient that helps naturally promote beautiful-looking eyelashes.

Do you have a company or personal motto by which you live?
It’s never too late to experience the full extent of your natural beauty. With a little help from us, we know you can restore revive, and achieve your true and naturally bold beauty.

Other than your products, what are the greatest assets and strengths your company offers?
Besides the wonderful products, my company consists of a great team that is filled with people who have one thing in common – an eye for great cosmetics.

As you grew your company, did you have any significant moments of clarity that helped shape its future and course?
My moments of clarity come from the people I surround myself with; a team of individuals who are as eager to see the company grow as I am.

logoWhat is the toughest decision you have had to make at your company?
The toughest decisions I have to make at my company are which products to create and which products to not move forward with. We are constantly thinking up new, innovative products so figuring out which ones we love is a tough choice!

How did you come up with the name of your business?
Just like my name, my products are big. We help women achieve longer, thicker, larger looking eyelashes, eyebrows and lips.

Do you or your company support any particular causes or charitable organizations? If so, who and why?
Here at Grande Cosmetics, we love to support charitable causes. Each year, we support Angel Ball and the Make A Wish Foundation.

Which honor or achievement are you most proud of?
I am most proud of receiving the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa Conference (IECSC) Award.

What advice do you have for someone planning to start a career in this field?
Always believe in yourself and your products. Don’t be afraid to take risks. If you invest time, energy, and yourself into your company, success will follow.

You wear so many hats in this industry. What is your secret to keeping life in balance and enjoying the journey?
The key to enjoying this journey is to surround yourself with amazing people. My friends, family, and peers help me focus on what’s most important in life.

Can you share something that most people wouldn't know about you?
Most people don’t know this, but I used to have my own radio talk show. I would talk about all the great new anti-aging cosmetics and skin care secrets.

How, and where, do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration from my long walks with my dog, Lance.

If you could treat one person, who would it be?
If I could treat one person, I would treat my sister.
