What tips do you have for choosing a product line?

Written by

“The first thing I look for when choosing a product line is whether or not the product actually works! I want my clients to get results, so I do a lot of research before choosing products. If it is not a product I would use myself, I do not sell it.”
Eugene Hunter, aesthetician at A Special Oasis Day Spa

“My spa looks for products that can be used on most skin types. We also try to find easy-to-use product lines that work great for homecare regimens.”
Sasha Hamperton, owner and master aesthetician at A Natural Spa & Salon

“I always consider the ingredients the product line uses. I choose lines that complement the products we already have so clients who want to switch to one or more of the new products can do so with ease.”
Francisco Roulen, owner and aesthetician at Francisco’s Day Spa

“I look for product lines that come from good companies. I like to promote companies that have great customer service and a good reputation. I only choose product lines from companies that I know will support me and have my back. It is important to have a good partnership with the companies you work with.”
Tricia Matthews, master aesthetician at The Spa on the Corner

“I take the cost of the products in the line into account. I do not like to bring in new products that are way more expensive than products we already sell. I know how much most of my frequent clients will spend on a product, so I try to stay around that figure when choosing a new line.”
Chloe Sennerton, co-owner of A Summer Dream Spa & Salon

“I look for products that not only work well, but actually look appealing. Many clients judge products by their packaging so it is important to choose products that will look good on the shelves at your spa.”
Reece Masterson, head aesthetician at South Creek Day Spa
