While we are not necessarily focused on negativity, sometimes certain opinions and feelings can find their way into our thought process at the most inconvenient times, occasionally even sidetracking us from enjoying the good things in life. It is during these moments that we need to practice letting go from the situation and taking a step back – whether that step is to help us see the bigger picture or whether it is simply to give us a quick breather, it always depends on the situation and emotional mindset of the stepper.
"Sometimes certain opinions and feelings can find their way into our thought process at the most inconvenient times, occasionally even sidetracking us from enjoying the good things in life."
While it is most common for us to be there for our clients, allowing them to spend time relaxing and helping them release their emotional anxieties, it is not so common to take time for ourselves when we are needing to put things in context and just let go. It can be as easy as practicing visualization or focusing on our achievements… Going to get a pedicure or grabbing an extra piece of chocolate from the jar… Changing your to-do list or starting a new one. But no matter what, it is most healthy for us to just sometimes let it go.
Whether you need to take a step back to see the bigger picture or just take a moment to step out of the situation, letting go can be a healthy way for us all to not get sidetracked and to enjoy the good things in life.
