"What type of online classes or webinars are you interested in taking to further your aesthetic education?"

"I would like to have seminars geared toward proper facial procedures from the consultation through to the end. Perhaps latest trends in what's effective in a good facial; product order, massaging techniques, et cetera. Also, I would like to have refreshers on skin anatomy and physiology. Another seminar that would be helpful is any products, treatments, procedures for darker ethnic skin (Fitzpatrick of V and VI)."
~ Lana Switzer; aesthetician; The Skin Rejuvenation Center

"I would like more online classes on updated aesthetic equipment
and machines."
~ Misty Delagarza; aesthetician; Complexions by Misty

"I would like to get some classes about innovations in skin care tools and procedures and the opportunities of using IPL machines within an aesthetic license's scope of practice."
~ Angela Busto; aesthetician; TN SPA

"When an aesthetician is fresh out of school it would be beneficial to learn how to interview with little or no experience. Med spas, day spas, hotel resorts all interview a little differently this topic would help guide newly licensed and seasoned therapists."
~ Donna Dodier; marketing consultant, aesthetician

"I would like to see a class on threading. I would also love to see classes on different modalities and how to use them. I'm also interested in self-promoting business classes – especially on how to build clientele in this economy."
~ Diane Franco; aestheticians and makeup artist; Face and Body by Di

"I'm interested in learning about five areas: 1) There have been lots of written work about aromatherapy but no one has really explained how to blend and create aromatherapy formulas; 2) how to retain your business during economic recessions; 3) how to have a successful part-time practice or a blended career; 4) the ins/outs of microcurrent; and 5) how globalization and the intermarrying of cultures is changing how we look at skin care and how to treat skin conditions."
~ Margaret LaPierre; owner/master aesthetician; Skin Therapy of Virginia

"I would like more information on medical aesthetics and treating skin that has suffered trauma (burns, cancer, et cetera). There is not a lot of reliable information on where to go for quality medical aesthetics post education."
~ Mary Lynn Williams; Beautiful Skin Deep Beauty

"I'd love to see more webinars or classes on ingredient trends, like stem cells, sirtuins, collagen, oxygen, peptides, et cetera – how they work on the skin and their efficacy. There is a lot of "hype" out there, and I'd love to get some facts to better educate myself and my clients. It'd also be great to see a webinar on technology like LEDs, ultrasonic, and high frequency, et cetera – how they work (or don't) to benefit the skin, and incorporating them into treatments."
~ Heather Robinson; lead aesthetician; Burke Williams, Orange location

"I am interested in the new science of ingredients. I just recently saw Michael Pugliese speak in San Jose and I have also seen his father speak many times – in addition to reading his books, which have been invaluable! I want to know about ingredients that will be effective and safe … and the reasons why they are. I would also appreciate online continuing education as it will be so much easier than affording the cost of traveling. I've been a aesthetician for 22 years and frankly the conferences don't hold as much for me anymore, so a good continuing education program online would be wonderful."
~ Karin Edla; owner; Kojua Skin Care
