What ideas are you working on for Spring Promotions: prom, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, wedding season, et cetera?

closing-thought-0312"This year for Mother's Day we are offering a gift package called, 'Mom & Me.' This package will treat both our client and their mom to a glorious day they will remember all year long. The package includes a facial; manicure; pedicure; shoulder, neck and back massage; paraffin hand spa treatment, hair shampooed, remoisturized and blow styled, makeup lesson with personal color chart. I've also worked out an arrangement with a restaurant owner near by my salon. I've provided him with a number of discount coupons for facials that he can use for promotions and he has provided me with buy one get one free lunch coupons, which I've included in my Mom & Me Spa package."

"Just like other spas and salons, the client base at the spa I work for is mainly women. This year for Father's Day we are teaming up with our local town center. As a thank you to their male staff members they agreed to allow our spa to come into their building to set up massage chairs; from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. we will offer a 10 minute seated massage. Along with the massage itself we will also be handing out $10 gift certificate to each person for their next massage, which they will have to come to our spa for!"

"Prom night is not just about having the great dress and date. Clients want their hair and makeup to be unforgettable. So, at our spa we are offering three packages to help our clients prepare for prom. One of these packages is our 'Mini Spa Day Package,' which includes treatments to prepare their skin and body to flaunt their beautiful dress. First, there is the mini facial which includes a cleansing and exfoliation treatment followed by a mask that will leave their skin glowing. Then, a sugar and honey polish scrub will exfoliate and remove all dead skin from their body, leaving them with radiant and smooth skin. Finally, this package is finished off with a manicure and pedicure."

"There is a time to promote everything! Timing is very important; because of this you really must begin planning at least three to six months in advance of each promotion. If you want to sell more spa gift cards/certificates, then plan to start promoting them at least six weeks prior to Mother's Day, Father's Day and the year-end holidays. Spa beauty packages and spa gift cards for facial treatments and massage therapies are great to promote any time of year. Hair removal is perfect to promote before and during the warmest seasons each year. If you want to promote 'Bridal Spa Packages' or 'Prom Service Packages' in the spring with facials, upstyles, manicures, pedicures, eyebrow arches and makeup applications – you must start to run advertisements and put up your spa merchandising materials four to eight weeks prior to the annual wedding and prom seasons."
