State of the Art: Software & the Spa

Digital solutions can deliver a healthcare experience that is more than just skin deep and a warm glow. According to industry research from last year, the global wellness economy is forecast to reach $7 trillion by 2025.1 Yet, service levels at spas, beauty, and wellness clinics, burdened by legacy technology installed many years ago, are struggling to keep pace with client demand and service expectations. A digital facelift is in order. Spa clinics must look to apply modern supply chain and customer relationship management technology to their cosmetic healthcare operations to deliver first-class client outcomes and ensure flawless safety software standards.

Clients seeking out beauty and wellness clinics for cosmetic procedures, such as face treatments, injections, or just that warm glow from a luxury spa treatment, have the same service expectations as customers in any industry. Yet, there is currently a capability gap between both client-facing and back-end treatment operations and the service levels people have become accustomed to elsewhere in their everyday lives.

For many spas, beauty, and wellness clinics today, there are three ways to build and consolidate a technological competitive advantage: deliver consistently high clinical care outcomes, offer a seamless end-to-end client journey, and safeguard clients with high safety standards.
