Hi Michaela,

With Brazilan waxing, the most important consideration is sanitation. The next is gentleness. And the final is the results. Whether you prefer to use conventional wax (which there are brands with formulations that are more gentle to the skin these days) or advanced body sugaring, I would consider the following before selecting:

1.Education by Brand

2. Pre and Post Protocol by Brand

3. Safety levels to the client's skin from Brand

4. End results clients can expect from ongoing Brand treatments

5. Manufacturer's Guidelines by Brand

Brand reputation (and I mean reputation within the professional community) is built on consistent reliable quality, the effectiveness of products and methods, accountability to the aforementioned, and customer support.

I wish you good hunting for your selection and much success!

Hi Michaela,

I do recommend using a Hot (aka Hard) wax for Brazilian and sensitive area waxing such as face and underarm. LYCON has a few great options to choose from depending on your preferences in terms of scent and color as well as pliability. LYCOdream Hybrid Hot Wax is one of our top selling Hard waxes as it is super pliable and can pull super short (as short as 1mm) hair as well as stubborn hair. It has Aloe Vera and Arnica in it for extra soothing on the skin. Using quality pre and post products is definitely recommended to further soothe and protect the skin.

You can visit our website www.lyconusa.com to see all of our waxes. Please email me lindsay@lyconusa.com with any further questions.

Hello Michaela!

There are quite a few good brands on the market.  I use WaxOne hard wax for my brazilian treatments...as well as to train in the Institute's Brazilian class.  It never cracks or hardens excessively, its amazing for the delicate skin and I have yet to have any reactions.  I use the strip as well for the outer areas, but that's because I'm "old school". Most people use the hard wax for everything.  The pre and post are also perfect for all skin types!

WaxOne is available through dimensions.com.

Good Luck!
