Overworking is Overdone: The Hard Work of Self-Care

Throughout my career in luxury day spas, medical spas, surgical centers, doctors’ offices, and wellness havens, one of the most consistent things I have noticed in the aesthetic and wellness world is that spa owners and practitioners are often the last to invest in self-care. Incredibly gifted, highly motivated, and deeply self-aware, spa providers are usually natural caregivers that spend vast amounts of time, money, and energy tending to the needs of others.  

It is incredibly difficult to balance these responsibilities while running a wellness business full-time. Many providers find they lack fundamental support to someone very important – the self.
