a recent interview.

Q: What is the strength behind DERME.CA?

A: Our strengths are customer service, education, business support, product quality and performance.

Q: What do you think about the future of DERME.CA?

A:  The future of Derme.ca is to take the lead in the spa and medical spa industry for: Result-oriented skin care; aesthetic/paramedical equipments; advanced and continued education; and spa and medical spa consulting services … in addition to turn-key operations. It is also our wish to increase awareness of the Nelly De Vuyst Foundation.

The NDV Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to help disadvantaged adults living with severe skin problems. We hope to raise funds to build a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, dermatologist, beauticians, teachers and other stakeholders in the field of global health and aesthetics to share their knowledge in order to maximize results in treating people.

We encourage readers to visit the foundation’s website at www.fondationndv.org/en/ and read the story of Caroline, a woman who unfortunately experienced severe skin problems for 20 years until Ms. Marlène Fradette, president of the Foundation and a Nelly De Vuyst skin care specialist for over 20 years, changed her life by providing Caroline with a personalized skin care regimen and regular treatments that helped solve her severe skin problems.

Q: What education and customer service support do you offer clients – initially and long-term?

A: All clients are qualified to receiving a private training on the product line for them and their staff at their location. We also periodically organize with our clients, open houses to increase consumer education and as a result of this effort, allowing our clients to make between $5,000-15,000 in product sales and services in one day. Moreover, we offer a highly educated customer service center where the department regularly receives training from our Product & Service trainers in order for them to have the necessary tools to provide our clients with valuable solutions, respond to their questions, demands and effectively manage their accounts.

Our clients also benefit from monthly promotions that they can transfer to their customers as a tactic to help build customer loyalty. We hold several advanced educational seminars and/or events, throughout the year, that our clients can participate in as an added value to incorporate in their business practice to help increase their revenues. Finally, Derme.ca participates in various tradeshows worldwide to reach clients and continue educating professionals within our field; this is our way of giving back to this wonderful industry.

Q: What sets you apart from other manufacturers?

A:  What sets us apart from other manufacturers is our support and education along with our continuous investments in R&D to provide innovative skin care solutions while constantly improving our existing skin care products. Both Nelly De Vuyst and Méthode Physiodermie are manufactured in Europe according to the highest standards of safety and quality along with the most advanced manufacturing technology. We believe in offering our clients the best in skin care available today.

Q: Are there any new products in development?

A: We have a couple new products that we have recently launched. With regards to Méthode Physiodermie skin care, the Sintyl Laboratories in Geneva, Switzerland just launched its new innovative men’s line, Chrono repair MEN.

Male skin is characterized by a thick epidermis and a dense dermis. It has intense cellular and glandular activity, and its energy requirements are greater. Due to ravages of shaving, it also demands gentle care and protection. The Chrono Repair for Men product range responds to the particular needs of male skin and promotes balance, youthfulness and skin protection. This line was formulated understanding these unique characteristics and the effects of time on male skin. What is great about this line is that it keeps it simple for men to implement in their daily cleansing routine as only three of the below products will be incorporated in their regular day-to-day skin care regimen. Included in the Chrono Repair Men: Purity Cleansing Gel, Anti-Age Care Cellular, Shaving Care Cream, After Shaving Care Hydrating Soothing, and Shower Care Body & Hair. A simple and effective three step process for the educated man is what Méthode Physiodermie is proposing.

In our Platinum Equipment division, we recently launched Sheerwave Body & Face Contouring. It is a non invasive body remodeling device to remove cellulite and fat deposits on abdomen, buttocks, upper arms and legs. With concentrated cavitation energy, fat in tissue decomposes glycerol and fat acids. The water-soluble glycerol travels into the circulatory system and contributes to new energy generation whereas the non-water-soluble fatty acids enters the liver, then they are decomposed like any other simple fatty acid consumed in food. For the face, the radiofrequency (RF) used by Sheerwave® is a safe, non-invasive way of tightening loose or lax skin. It will gently heat up the deep layers of the skin with no pain to promote the creation of new collagen.  The result: a return to the smooth and shapely skin of your youth.  Results can be seen up to three to six months. RF is amazing for the treatment of loose neck and overall loose skin.

Q: How many reps do you have and what territories do they represent?

Q: Does DERME.CA support any particular causes or charitable organizations?

A: Derme.ca supports several causes and charitable organizations including Breast Cancer Awareness along with the Nelly De Vuyst Foundation for disadvantaged adults suffering from severe skin problems.
