| T- Cell | A type of lymphocyte that fights off foreign invaders within the body |
| Tactile corpuscle | Nerve endings found within the skin |
| Telogen phase | The final resting phase of the hair cycle in which the hair rests in a follicle until the fully grown hair is shed, at which time the anagen phase begins again |
| Telomeres | The ends of chromosomes. These specialized structures are involved in the replication and stability of DNA molecules |
| Terminal hair | The long , soft hair found on the scalp, legs and arms |
| TEWL | Trans Epidermal Water Loss, the loss of water from the skin; dehydration |
| Thalamus | either of two masses of grey matter lying between the cerebral hemispheres on either side of the third ventricle, relaying sensory information and acting as a center for pain perception |
| Thalasso | derived from the Greek word, Thalassa, which means ocean; used since ancient times as a healing agent for wounds and other ailments |

| Translucent | (of a substance) allowing light, but not detailed images, to pass through; semitransparent |
| Trichloroacetic Acid | (TCA) medium-depth peel that removes the epidermis down to the dermis |
| Trichosis | Abnormal hair growth |
| Triclosan | A broad based antibacterial agent used in many products |
| Triglyceride | A fat substance, which makes up about 50% of sebum |
| Tyrosinase | An enzyme that converts tyrosine into melanin in the first stage of melanogenesis |
